Roaming with Restless Women Podcast

It’s been a wild couple of months. I’ve had a really rough time emotionally, and my family has been going through a lot with a loved one’s health issues. It reminds me of strain hardening in engineering — bending a material beyond its elastic limit to strengthen it. I’m slimmer, stronger, and far more tenderhearted in the best possible ways.

During my most difficult times, I thought I needed something “better” to be ok, and had expectations of how things should be. Life felt sticky and stressful. My suffering was my reminder, a symptom of disorder, an invitation to remember and understand the underlying message: to let go of seeking and wanting, and remember that we are all in the midst of a perfect unfolding, even when things don’t seem perfect at all.

As of a couple weeks ago, I’ve befriended where I stand. In this stillness, I take one step, and then another. I’ve been hanging out in a small rural area in North Florida with my family. We are all doing better. As often as possible, I enjoy back road bike rides through farmland and majestic oaks.

In today’s world of sharing the best of life on the internet and social media, it’s important to be honest about struggles. There are always people willing to help. I’m thankful for those who supported me and I’m forever ready to pay it forward.

Alright, now check out this Podcast (it’s a 34 minute listen):

A few things we touch on:

  • Is there risk in play?
  • Freedom
  • Seeing through fear, especially the fears we don’t know we have
  • Being open, like really open
  • Letting go
  • Being a stripper
  • And more!
