All That is Left
The past year has been a significant period of letting go… of beliefs, biases, stories, and judgments. It hasn’t been all rainbows and butterflies, but it’s been phenomenal none-the-less. This poem came through last December, right smack in the middle of the most incredible year of my journey so far.
Here is an invitation, ask yourself this: “Where do I feel stuck or confined? Where do I most want to be free?”
Notice what comes up. There’s gold in this reflection..
Sometimes our sense of confinement relates to feeling misunderstood, or misunderstandings and habits we knowingly cling to. Sometimes our stuckness comes from beliefs or judgements that weave so tight into the fabric of our everyday lives that we are blind to them. Young kids and animals don’t have beliefs and judgments. That’s one reason they are so friggin’ cute. Each time we bump up against sticky spots in life, it’s an invitation. When the discomfort bubbles up, life is saying: There you are, love, you can let go now.
Let’s play the grand game of letting go until there’s nothing left to let go of. Letting go often feels difficult… until our hands have unfurled and relaxed. Then what is left?
All That Is Left
Without resistance, beliefs and judgments, all that is left is This.
Living freely in the divine might seem courageous, though it isn’t.
This is effortless and simple.
This is an expression of peace, love and joy.
In This, there is no teacher or student,
no concessions or compromises, no responsibility.
In This, there is infinite freedom.
You are the gift and the giver.
This is where you and I disappear.
The more we know This, the more we sink into pure peace, love and joy.
In This, all that is left is simply living.
I’m wishing you and yours lots of love,
Kristy
