What is Coddiwompling?
To Coddiwomple is to travel without a specific destination in mind. All the photos, tips and stories in this calendar were gleaned from my wandering around North America for the past seven years.
The title of the calendar “Coddiwomple Chronicles” is the title of my column in the Blue Beret Magazine, which has been a hit with Airstreamers for a couple years now.
Full time codiwompling in an RV might not be the gig for everyone. So this calendar is both a teaser for curious adventurers, and for those that might never make it far off into the wild: this calendar gives you front row seats an on incredible adventure!

This calendar is a yearlong portal into the natural wonderment of everything. For seven years I’ve lived out in the bush all over north America and this is an invitation to join an incredible adventure.
In February we paraglide along canyon updrafts at sunset. I was enjoying a peaceful evening alone when a pack of pickup trucks rolled up, guys hopped out and jumped off a cliff.
In March we’ll taste salt air as waves crash on Newfoundland cliffs. That’s where I snapped my rib and almost died, and parked here to heal and rest.
In April, gravel will crunch in the silence of Grand Teton hikes under pink skies. Most think you can’t find solitude in National Parks. I do, and I’ll spill the beans on how you can too.
In September we will paddle Lake Superior with frost on the bow to see fall colors. That paddle was the first time in my life I knew “I might die today.” I battled severe hypothermia to take this pic for you.
In November we’ll be surprised by meteor showers as the sky dances with greens, purples and reds of the aurora borealis. I was hours from civilization and rationed my food to live off grid for a month so you and I can take in this incredible view.
Through all of my adventures, I realized that I and everyone else just want to be a bit more free. So C’mon, join the adventure and be surprised by what’s inside.
